In plain language

What this regime says.

Priority Mail Express is the only USPS service with a money-back guarantee on delivery time. If the item misses the date and time printed on the mailing receipt, the postage is refundable — but the request has to be made within a short window that runs from the date of mailing.

Who is covered

Anyone who mailed a Priority Mail Express item domestically in the United States. The refund goes to the person who paid the postage, which is normally the sender.

What you get

The postage back. Insurance on the contents is a separate claim on a separate timetable, and other USPS services carry no time guarantee at all.

Where claims go wrong

  • Claiming on Priority Mail, Ground Advantage or First-Class Package. Those have service standards, not guarantees, and no refund follows from missing them.
  • Waiting. The window runs from the date of mailing, not from the date you gave up waiting.
  • Filing only the postage refund and forgetting the insurance claim on the contents, or the reverse.
  • Arguing with USPS when you were the buyer. The carrier’s contract is with the sender; your claim is against the seller.

Authority

Every citation,
with its pinpoint.

A claim that cites “EU law” gets filed. A claim that cites Article 7(1)(c) gets answered. These are the exact coordinates this entry rests on.

Where a figure is indexed, converted or published by a regulator rather than fixed in the instrument, the provenance is recorded separately. Anything marked as a modelled estimate is exactly that — a model, not a statutory number.

What it imposes

Clocks, defences and the ladder.

A rule module builds these while it evaluates, because a limitation period depends on which forum is open to you. What follows is the structure this regime produces — deliberately with no dates and no figures, because those belong to your facts rather than to the law.

Documents

What this regime can produce.

Every one of these is a document you send yourself, in your own name. Duesday never writes to anybody on your behalf and is never anyone’s agent.

Does this one reach your facts?

The engine runs every regime that could apply at once and reconciles them, rather than making you guess which page to read.

Not a law firm. Not legal advice. You send it yourself. This page describes a law; it is not advice about your situation and no outcome is promised.
